The train has been repaired and restored then put back on the tracks. Operating began June 12th, 1982, the Museum Railway Club Losheim operates steam-powered museum trips on the railways of the former Merzig-Busch Fields Railroad.
The standard gauge track is about 9 miles long and passes through one of the most varied and beautiful landscapes of the Saarland Germany.
Total travel time of the return trip about 2 hours. All trains are managed.
Tickets can be purchased on the train. They also offer free bicycle transportation.
The Train only runs between April and December each year.
